Ana Balcazar (b. 1984) was born and raised in Peru. She is a visual artist and educator, who works on murals and canvas exploring new ways of representing women and plants, most often using her image, inspired by the Peruvian rainforest and her travels. She uses vibrant colors, influenced by “chicha aesthetics” from the popular culture of her homeland and street art. Her work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions in Latin America, the United States, and Europe. In 2023, Balcazar won first prize in ICPNA Street Art and was a finalist in Premios Ayni in Peru.
